“Thirty days before the holiday one should start teaching and learning the laws of the holiday.” During breakfast, Ma’ayanot created an optional learning program called Midreshet Ma’ayanot. Every morning, students sit around the table with a sefer in hand to learn Hilchot Chanukah. The Torah explains that one should learn the halachot of a holiday thirty days prior to it, so Ma’ayanot gave students that very opportunity. Students have the chance to learn from one of Ma’ayanot’s amazing rebbeim—Rabbi Prince or Rabbi Besser—in a non-classroom setting.
