Speakers will focus on ‘Producing a Personal Path.’
Livingston—Hundreds of women and their teenage daughters are expected to attend the Women’s Annual Gala on Tuesday, May 8, at the Hotel Westminster in Livingston. The event, hosted by Mikvah Chana, is the largest annual, women-only gathering in Northern New Jersey. The gala will feature a buffet dinner, an amazing auction and inspiring real-life stories on “Producing a Personal Path.”
Speakers this year include Emmy-award-winning writer Ilana Wernick, currently the co-executive director of ABC’s “The Middle.” Ilana will share personal stories from her life as a Jewish mother and comedy writer in Hollywood.
Also sharing their inspiring stories are Dr. Nancy Simpkins, a Livingston resident and TV personality, and Chavie Bruk, director of Chabad of Montana and the mother of four adopted young children.
More than 700 women and high school girls attended last year’s night out. Previous event speakers have included entertainer Paula Abdul, TV star Mayim Bialik and Olympic gold-medalist Aly Raisman.
Mikvah Chana in Livingston serves as a spiritual oasis for thousands of women throughout Northern New Jersey. The mikvah (ritual bath) is dedicated in loving memory of Chana Annette Felsen.
This once-a-year, not-to-be-missed night will be at the Hotel Westminster, 550 West Mount Pleasant Ave., Livingston, NJ. The program kicks off at 7 p.m. with a buffet dinner.
This event is open to women and high school girls only.
