Its official! Tiger Eye Hair Color is the trending hair color this fall and it will be everywhere! During the fall and winter months, women around the world turn to their salons for darker hair tones to tone down the end-of-season summer highlights and ombres. This season’s must-try color trend creates that easy transition from the summer balayage of lighter tones to the darker, warmer, richer, multidimensional shades of brown.

Deep, warm caramel colors with mixed shades, creating a multidimensional look, are what define the tiger eye hair color. Depending on your skin tone your colorist will help you to customize the look with a variety of blends of honeys, caramels, mochas, golds, toffees and warm blondes. A darker version can be done with rich brown highlights and lowlights, in chocolate and bronze tones. The hair starts with darker roots fading into lighter ends resembling the many striking colors of the tiger eye gemstones. The current trending of gemstones is what made this hair color so popular this fall.

A tiger eye is known for reflecting light off of its surface. To mimic/enhance this shine in the hair, colorless gloss treatments and moisturizing products can be used. Tiger eye is perfectly ideal for medium-length to long hair. When styled in soft bouncy waves or loose beach waves the multicolored light and life of the hair is best seen.

To create this look, it is best to start with a warmer, darker base, and balayage in highlights, staying away from the root to avoid a stripy look. This method naturally pulls warm hair tones, which results in maintaining more of the health and shine of the hair or sheital. This new color combo is ideal for brunettes seeking a change without needing the maintenance of having to tone the hair. Sheital wearers will be thrilled that the oxidation to their wig can be their new highlights! To revive an old, oxidized wig, have your sheital colorist add in some low lights with a possible rooting and you will have a new trendy sheital for a fraction of the price!
