When trying to figure out what their first mitzvah should be after becoming bat mitzvahs, Sarah Wasserlauf and Ana’el Sobol were sure they didn’t want to raise money or collect items; they wanted to be involved from start to finish and see the smiles on the people’s faces.

Since both their bat mitzvahs were at the end of summer, they wanted to work around Rosh Hashanah, and find a wonderful way to start the new year. The girls packed and delivered Rosh Hashanah treats for the men and women in Care One in Teaneck. The smile on the members’ faces were just priceless and the girls did a great job handing out their treats.

Thank you to the recreational department and the community home for allowing the girls the opportunity to make this amazing mitzvah a reality.
