Under the direction of our Safah teacher, Morah Judy Buchnik, our students competed against fourth graders from schools across the world in a Hebrew language contest run by Ivrit publications. Students were asked to create submissions depicting a hero from modern Jewish history and enumerating their contributions to the Jewish people and to the State of Israel. Our students’ submissions depicting the life and times of Theodore Herzl, earned them the grand prize in the personalities category of the contest. Kol hakavod to our fourth graders.

Subscriptions
Currently, Ivrit Publications offers two separate magazines. Dubon is typically for students in grades K-2 and Ezbeoni is typically recommended for students in grades 2-4. (Zav-Zav for preschool students and Pilpel for middle school students will be released next, and are on the horizon.)
In addition to the above, all participating schools will receive a plaque that can be proudly displayed in the school hallway or in a classroom. All participating students will receive an award in recognition of their participation in our Ivrit Publications classroom contest; these will be mailed to your school shortly.
Last but not least, a special, signed, contest edition of Ezbeoni is being published and will depict contest submissions. This edition will be mailed to your schools over the summer and will be visible on our website and Facebook page, so that your students and their families can view the special edition over the summer break. We will notify you when the online edition becomes available.
Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to connect with your schools and your students בעברית. We look forward to hearing from you, and to partnering with you in order to connect students to one another and to the Hebrew language.
