The past few weeks have been a joyous whirlwind for Moriah’s Class of 2024! After finals were over, students had a school spirit week and an eighth grade Ruach Day. On their last day of school, the eighth grade got a special goodbye from the staff and the younger students during a “clap out.” Then, in the evening, the students returned to Moriah for a special graduation dinner, marked by delicious food, remarks from a student and presentations of gifts to the gabbaim of the daily minyanim. The night concluded with the esteemed editors-in-chief and executive writers distributing the yearbook, a long anticipated memento of the Class of 2024’s Moriah careers. After the yearbooks were handed out, students got to spend time together signing each others’ copies. They enjoyed themselves so much, they needed to be “kicked out” of the building!
The party continued on Tuesday when the eighth grade had a fun-filled day at Hershey Park. The Class of 2024 enjoyed bonding on the bus almost as much as the rides and games at Hershey! Next Monday, the end-of-year celebrations will culminate in their eighth grade graduation, a momentous milestone for our students. This has truly been an unforgettable time that will stay with the students even as they move on to high school. Class of 2024, it’s been a blast and you will be missed!
