Moriah Clinches First Seed in Playoffs

On April 2, Moriah crossed the bridge and was hosted by MDS. Just minutes before the game started, Moriah learned that it had clinched the first seed in the playoffs because of an unexpected loss by Yavneh against RPRY. Moriah now entered its game even more pumped up than before.

MDS had prepared hard for its chance to take down the undefeated 7-0 Moriah squad. At the end of the first quarter, MDS even led Moriah by 2. But as the second quarter began, Moriah got the hot hand, led by Eitan Chasman with 11 points and 2 steals, followed by Isaac Horowitz, Gabe Katz, and Rafi Lewis each contributing 8 points. The, Jason Aronoff with 7 points and Dean Schein with 6 points helped seal the win for Moriah.

Moriah played great and hustled hard, especially out-rebounding MDS, 61-25, led by David Cohen with 15. The final score was 61-38.

Moriah will now take a nice beach day at the Jersey Shore to take on Hillel, for its last regular season game. Stay tuned . . .
