Moriah Early Childhood Prepares for Thanksgiving

In honor of Thanksgiving early childhood students learned about the Native Americans. Since different tribes of Native Americans spoke different languages they often communicated by using pictures. Pre-K wrote their own story using these symbols.

In addition, they learned that Native Americans used fruits, vegetables and flowers to make dyes for their clothing. The children made their own dyes using beets, cranberries, spinach, onion skins and tea. Everyone was so excited to dye their own shirts to wear for the Thanksgiving feast!
