Moriah nursery students are scientists. After reading the book “A Snowy Day” they learned that if they bring snow inside, it will melt from the heat. The children thought about doing the opposite. What if they put water outside in the cold or in the freezer? Will it turn to ice? Will it stay the same? They added food coloring and water to their ice trays and put them in the freezer. When they came to school the next day they saw that it worked and the water turned into ice! The students were able to paint with colored ice and felt like scientists. As they painted the ice started to melt away.
