What can you do with a regular box? The Moriah fifth graders found out in a creative, team-building activity called Not a Box. After reading the book “Not a Box,” the student groups brainstormed to come up with an imaginative idea of what their box could be. Then, they used their box and a variety of art materials to develop and construct a representation. Sometimes revisions and adjustments had to be made and students had to work together to cooperate in order to reach their goal. Creations were presented by each group to the delight of their classmates and teachers.
