The fifth graders kicked off their oceanography unit with an Around the World, K-W-L activity about the various oceanography topics. What do you know about: coral reefs, whales and whaling, the Galapagos Islands, oceans at risk, unusual animals, submarines and the waters of Israel? At the end of the unit the students will be experts in their areas of study and look back around the world to see how much they have learned.
