Fall began and the students have been talking about all the changes they will see as the weather gets colder, and as the trees begin to change. Armed with crayons, pencils and clipboards in hand, they ventured outside and chose a wonderful tree to watch as the seasons change. They became scientists, predicted what they thought would happen, and drew the tree. What color are the leaves? Are they changing? Are they falling off yet? They even observed the shapes of the leaves and the color and smoothness of the bark too. They can’t wait to draw the tree in a month to see what’s changed.
