Moriah first graders were busy learning about Chanukah, both the story and the laws and customs. Part of their learning was to create a chanukiah/menorah from materials found in the home. The menorahs didn’t need to be able to light, the only criteria was that they had to include the identifying features of a menorah (eight candles in a straight line and a shamash). The first graders got really creative with their projects, and are so proud of what they made.
