Last Week, the middle school students had the tremendous privilege of meeting a great Torah scholar, the Bostoner Rebbe of Yerushalayim, Rabbi Meir Halevi Horowitz. The sixth and seventh graders were able to meet with him in groups of boys and girls to hear Divrei Torah about the miracles of Chanukah and how each of the major holidays relate to our five senses, focusing on how Chanukah relates to our sight through the candlelight. They then had the opportunity to receive special divrei bracha from him and to meet him personally. Additionally, eighth grade students had the zechut and privilege to attend a Tisch together with the Rebbe and converse with him in a personal and meaningful way. The students made brachot with Rabbi Horowitz over snacks and shared in singing and Divrei Torah. This was a truly special event that hopefully had a deep impact on all of them.
