The wonderful Class of 2017 graduated from Moriah on Tuesday night, June 20. Family, friends and faculty were honored to celebrate their special milestone with them, hear them sing, watch them receive awards and listen to the class speakers. They looked on with pride, joy and nostalgia as the graduates received their diplomas and tossed their caps into the air. The eighth graders enjoyed their time at Moriah, learning and growing as students and people. They experienced hands-on learning in Moriah’s classrooms through archaeology digs, science labs, mock debates, Gemara videos, Moriah Reads and Heritage Fair. They participated in Moriah’s rich extracurricular activities like student council, “Names, Not Numbers,” mishmar, yearbook, Torah Bowl, science competitions, and athletic teams. They developed strong relationships with their teachers through football games, kumzitzes, Chanukah parties and even sheva brachot. The Class of 2017 accomplished so much over the last three years, and from math finals to essays to research projects, they know they have the tools to achieve greatness in high school and beyond. The Moriah School looks forward to hearing from alumni and “schepping nachas” from their successes. Mazel Tov Class of 2017!
