Moriah Hires Livia Marcovici As Director of Admissions

Moriah’s Head of School, Rabbi Daniel Alter announced the hire of Mrs. Livia Marcovici as the new director of admissions.  Mrs. Marcovici was the admissions coordinator for The Ramaz High School for five years. She also served as the program director for the Manhattan Jewish Experience. She is a graduate of Ramaz and Barnard and the proud parent of Moriah students Ezra, Sofia and Henry.

“I am delighted that Livia Marcovici will be joining us at Moriah. She will provide leadership and experience to enhance and grow our Moriah community.” said Rabbi Alter.

“My own children have felt nurtured, supported and loved at Moriah from the first day they entered the building. The teachers have instilled in them a love of learning and a desire to grow.” Marcovici said. ”I look forward to giving others the incredible opportunity that I have had by joining the Moriah family.”

Marcovici is tasked with helping Moriah grow the student body and guiding prospective families through the application process. Moriah, now in its 52nd year, is one of the nation’s premier Jewish day schools and educates approximately 700 students from across Bergen County. Moriah’s mission is to deliver an academic program of the highest caliber while instilling a sense of commitment to Torat Yisrael, Am Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael.
