The Moriah school held its first ever Moriah Art Show, featuring amazing artwork created by Moriah students in nursery through grade eight. Each grade learned about one famous modern artist and students used what they learned to create their own masterpieces. The pieces were then put on display at the art show on February 8. The underlying theme for the evening was the celebration of Yerushalayim’s 50th anniversary. Hundreds of parents and students passed through the gallery, taking in the beautiful artwork from Moriah students throughout the year, and participating in interactive art installments. Headed by Moriah’s own Morah Gila Bretter, Moriah’s art program is designed to expose students to the many different types of art, and help them use what they learned to channel their inner creativity.
