Moriah Hosts Heritage Fair

The Heritage Fair is more than just a celebration of family mesorah, it is a unique educational experience that teaches students the importance of preserving their family’s history. Throughout the year, students documented and researched cherished artifacts and heirlooms that held a special place in their family’s traditions. This meaningful project was completed under the guidance of Rachel Schwartz, Morah Davida Greenberg and the technical support of Rachel Kaminetzky.

On Heritage Fair Day, the students were excited to share their projects with their peers, teachers and, most importantly, their families. The artifacts were presented with pride and the stories behind them were shared with enthusiasm. The sixth graders were able to connect with their family’s past in a way that was meaningful and lasting.

The Heritage Fair Day was filled with excitement as students participated in a workshop about the importance of preserving family mesorah. In the evening, proud parents and grandparents filled the school auditorium to see their children present their projects. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and a sense of community as families came together to celebrate their heritage. The Heritage Fair was a true celebration of mesorah, and a testament to the value of preserving one’s family legacy for future generations to come.
