Moriah K-1 Celebrates Aleph-Bet Siyum

In anticipation of Shavuot, the day the Jewish people received the Torah, the children of K-1 completed learning the letters of Lashon HaKodesh. They pronounced “chazak chazak v’nitchazeik.” On Thursday, May 21, the class celebrated their aleph-bet siyum. They baked aleph-bet cookies and munched on yummy treats, played many different aleph-bet games and read aleph-bet books. Each child received an aleph-bet memento. In honor of the completion of the aleph-bet unit, students wrote and illustrated an aleph-bet book. The book is entitled “mi shas nak nak.” They enjoyed writing, illustrating and reading their own books.
