Moriah kindergarteners recently had a publishing party to celebrate the completion of their poetry unit. The children understand that a poets write a poem about something that is important to them, and include their feelings and thoughts. These non-rhyming poems are their original reflections of opinions and ideas. After choosing a poem, the children edited their work and added color to their illustrations. The children presented their original poems for the class and Morah Divsha. The celebration concluded with a game of High Frequency Word Bingo and a delicious treat.
