The Moriah School kindergarteners acknowledged their reading accomplishments this week with a reading celebration! Each child, in turn, had the opportunity to come up to the front of the room and read a poem aloud to the class. These were poems that were chosen by the children, poems that they’ve enjoyed during their shared reading sessions. It was wonderful to see the excitement on everyone’s faces! They then enjoyed playing a fun literacy game—Sight Word Bingo. Each child had to locate the sight words on their board as the words were called. So proud of the kindergarten readers!
