The Moriah School kindergarteners have been learning all about space and the solar system. They integrated their space unit with their artist of the month, Georgia O’Keeffe. They recreated the artist’s famous painting “A Ladder to the Moon.” The students used many different materials to recreate this painting—watercolors, popsicle sticks, tin foil and their choice of stickers and even colored pencils. They then decided they might change the paintings to make them their own by adding a space theme, using stars and planets! Their artwork is out of sight!!
