The Moriah kindergarten children are so excited to begin the new school year and are eager to learn more about their new classmates. They launched a unit entitled “All About Me!” where they developed the idea that some of their attributes are the same, and some are different. The students noted that they all have bodies, live in homes and wear clothing. Additionally, they saw that their eyes are different colors, that they live in different locations and have different hair lengths. They learned that they each have their own interests and preferences. Each child will have the opportunity to choose an item from home that tells something unique about them, bring it to class and use it as a means to share about themselves. The objects will be displayed on the classroom discovery table. They can’t wait to find out more about their new friends as the year unfolds!
