The Moriah kindergarten students authored non fiction books, full of facts and information. Each child chose an animal out of one of the animal groups they are familiar with. They then read a book about their animal, first researching and then selecting facts to write about. Using sticky notes, the children marked the pages with the facts they wanted to include. Then came the writing! Each fact was written on a separate page and recorded in the table of contents. A page about the author was included at the end. Everyone really enjoyed hearing all of the books read and learned so many interesting facts about different animals.
