Moriah’s kitah gimmel enjoys learning Chumash everyday. This year they started learning the last perek of parshat Vayera and are well into parshat Chayei Sarah. The students spend time reviewing their skills identifying prefixes and suffixes as well as learning many new skills that enable them to understand the text. Each student has a chavruta/learning partner with whom they work with daily to complete classroom work and to test one another on the current list of shorashim. The class has been enjoying playing review games using online platforms such as Quizlet and Kahoot as a way of learning and practicing our new shorashim. The students were so excited to begin learning Rashi letters and are excited to read and understand Rashi’s commentary inside the Chumash. The students are always enthusiastic to learn new skills and continue reviewing previous skills to become independent Torah learners.
