The students met Farmer Yisroel in the Moriah Educational Garden to learn about the mitzvah of bikurim! In this week’s parsha we are commanded to bring the first fruits (of the seven species) as a korban to the Kohanim in the Beit Hamikdash. The children learned about the shivat haminim, how to “mark” the first fruits with a blade of grass and even participated in a joyous mock-parade of bikurim to Yerushalayim!
