Moriah Lower School Goes on End-of-Year Field Trips

This past week, each Moriah lower school grade went on a unique trip to celebrate the end of the year.

The second grade began their exciting day at Turtle Back Zoo with an educational experience about animal habitats. They touched cockroaches, met a rooster, pet rabbits and more! The students then explored the entire zoo with all of its fascinating animals.

At Fosterfields Living Historical Farm, the third graders got a hands-on experience with living on a real farm. They learned how to clean laundry the old-fashioned way, prepare a horse for riding, churn butter and milk cows! The beautiful country landscape made the entire trip worth it.

The fourth graders grabbed their shovels and headed to The Franklin Mineral Museum, a once active zinc mine. They saw gemstones, crystals and many very rare stones. They also saw a spectacular display of fluorescent minerals which glow under flourescent light! The students then got to dig for their very own gemstones.

The fifth graders went to The Bounce Factory where they got out much of their energy jumping around, squaring off in inflatable competitions, sticking to velcro walls and more!
