Moriah Middle Schoolers Connect to Yom HaShoah

To commemorate Yom HaShoah, Moriah middle school students took part in many educational activities to help them better connect to the importance of this important day in Jewish history. Activities included middle school students analyzing the lives of European children before the Holocaust and the screening of the award winning documentary “Paper Clips.” After the film, the students had the privilege to hear from one of the film’s producers, Yeeshai Gross. The students really took the programming to heart, creating a special connection to their past. With programs like these and “Names, Not Numbers,” Moriah puts a strong emphasis on Holocaust education so that the struggles of the Jewish people is never forgotten.
