As Moriah Nursery continued its Ivrit unit about shapes, the children were introduced to the colorful artist, Kandinsky (1866-1944). Kandinsky was an artist born in Russia, who loved color and music. He said, “Everything starts from a dot.” The class read the book, “The Dot,” by Peter Reynolds. The children loved his painting, “Concentric Circles,” so they painted it too. The class version of “Concentric Circles” is now being showcased outside the room.
