This week Moriah’s nursery students combined עברית and English curriculums to teach The Moriah School nursery children the following feelings:
Happy-שמח, sad- עצוב, loved-אוהב, angry-כועס and scared-מפחד
Young children feel many of the feelings that adults do. They can feel happy, sad, angry, scared and loved. The difference is they often don’t have the words to talk about how they are feeling. When children learn the vocabulary to talk about feelings, this expressive language often cancels out unwanted behaviors such as aggression and defiance.
