Moriah Participates in Cook Prize Contest

For the third consecutive year, the third and fourth grades enjoyed participating in the Cook Prize contest, an annual non-fiction contest run by the Bank Street School of Education. You can borrow the contest finalists from the public library and enjoy them with your children.

Yasmeen Lari, Green Architect: The True Story of Pakistan’s First Woman Architect by Marzieh Abbas

In both grades, the winner was Life after Whale, which illustrated how the body of a whale which has died becomes a part of the marine ecosystem and supports different forms of life for years. Many thanks to the teachers and students for their cooperation and votes!
