What a special experience it was for the early childhood students of Moriah to participate in a bake sale, in memory of Evan Levy, z”l. Evan was a student in Moriah who passed away from cancer in 2016.The children understood that the money raised would go to tzedaka, and were very excited. Each class planned and mixed and baked their own treats, the results were delicious!
The children had opportunities to be both “buyers” and “sellers” of the luscious items. They were very excited to participate and bring home yummy treats. May we all continue to have opportunities to do mitzvot!
Thank you to all the families who donated to the bake sale in memory of Evan z”l. Together, we were able to raise over $6,000 for the Evan Levy z”l Fund! The Evan Levy z”l Fund, in partnership with Chai Lifeline, provides financial assistance to parents overcome by the monetary constraints of caring for a sick child.
