The Moriah second grade Gesher Yehuda class is learning about money. The students have learned how to recognize coins, assign value to coins and have been working diligently on counting mixed coins. Normally, in school, the teachers have a store where the students can “purchase” items. Now that students learn from home, the teachers recreated that virtually and made a candy shop. The kids “picked” what they wanted to buy, got the right coins and counted them to make sure they had enough money for their purchase. It was so engaging and fun—they loved it!
