This past Wednesday evening, the seventh grade boys and their families joined together to celebrate their collective milestone of reaching their bar mitzvah with a beautiful dinner and celebration. The evening included divrei Torah from Rabbi Alter and seventh grade students, recitation of Tehillim led by students, and exciting dancing with Moriah’s very own amazing DJ Nay, Jonah Nayowitz! The students also celebrated and led their siyum of Pirkei Avot with Rabbi Eisenberger. In honor of their collective bar mitzvah, the students raised money for One Family Together, Twinning for Bar and Bat Mitzvah Program. In the spirit of chesed, all of the leftover food from the delicious Dougie’s dinner was donated to Shearit HaPlate of Bergen County, an organization that distributes food to needy families throughout the community.
