Moriah Seventh Graders Have Bar Mitzvah Celebration

Last week the seventh-grade boys enjoyed their grade-wide bar mitzvah celebration! The evening was filled with inspiring divrei Torah, uplifting dancing and delicious food. Under the direction of Rabbi Eisenberger, the boys learned and prepared Masechet Avot, in order to mark this momentous occasion with a siyum. Adam Zavodnick and Isaac Kopolovitz completed the masechta and the boys broke out into dancing with their fathers and rebbeim. Bennett Burgida and Ezra Motechin led Tehillim, and then all the guests were treated to divrei Torah from Rabbi Alter, as well as classmates Reuben Kaminetzky and Alex Seligman. The students were called up individually to receive their bar mitzvah gifts, personalized Machzorim, and finally, Judah Lewis led the zimun for bentching. It was wonderful to see the boys treat this evening with such dignity, respect and excitement. In particular, it was especially meaningful that each boy contributed a donation to Chai Lifeline, and the Evan Levy z”l fund, to appropriately recognize the importance of tzedaka and chesed and the role Chai Lifeline has played in their lives. Moriah wishes the boys a lifetime of continued growth and nachas!
