(Courtesy of The Moriah School) Rav Adiel Mhazri, with his wife Yonit, is in his second year of shlichut at The Moriah School, living in Englewood with his family. Both teach in the school and their children attend Moriah. He was called back to his reserve unit in Israel and was on a plane after Yom Tov on Sunday night. He is stationed with his unit, called Chativat HaNegev. He said the morale is very high and he and the other soldiers are receiving all types of support from chutz la’aretz. He has sent videos and messages that are being broadcast on the school’s social media channels.

“While the Mhrazis were brought to Moriah to bring Israel closer to our students, ironically, while he is presently so far away, his spiritual presence is being felt deeply in each student’s heart,” said Head of School Rabbi Daniel Alter.
