Last Tuesday night was a lively and heartfelt evening as the Moriah sixth grade girls celebrated together on the occasion of reaching gil mitzvot. The auditorium was set up elegantly and was filled with the smiling faces of students, parents and teachers. To prepare for the event, the girls studied a special unit on nashim b’Tanach with Morah Gila Solomon and prepared art projects and presented speeches about each of these amazing women. In addition, to give back to others, the girls participated in an activity to benefit the organization Tomorrow’s Children. Capping off the evening, each girl was called up and was presented with a set of personalized machzorim. It was a fun, meaningful and memorable event. Mazal tov to all!
