Ms. Sehgal’s sixth grade social studies class at Moriah has been working hard on their unit on ancient Egypt. They have learned about ancient Egyptian culture through the analysis of art and artifacts from the era. On the Wednesday before Pesach break, they went on a very special trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The students worked in teams to complete a hands-on scavenger hunt applying their knowledge from class. Together the students found, identified and analyzed ancient Egyptian art and artifacts. Teachers and students alike were so excited to see the remains of ancient Egyptian society. This was a fun and engaging way for the students to enhance their understanding of history and further their appreciation of ancient culture. Everyone enjoyed this fun and educational experience.
