Moriah Welcomes Willy Wonka

On March 19, over 500 people attended two musical performances at The Moriah School as a part of its lower school musical theater program. In collaboration with Envision Theater, Moriah produced an original first grade musical, “Candyland,” which was written by the students. The “Candyland” musical was a “curtain warmer” for the second-fifth grade “Willy Wonka Kids” performance. “Willy Wonka Kids,” presented through an arrangement with Music Theater International (MTI), is based on Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” The students in both shows did an amazing job! Everyone is so proud of what the students were able to accomplish. A big thank you to Rebecca Lopkin, Nathan Kruman and Vitoria Oltarsh for serving as show directors. Also, thank you to the parents, grandparents and friends who bought tickets for the shows to support the Moriah lower school musical theater program.
