Sports is one of the most important components of the program at Camp Moshava Ba’ir New Jersey. Each year, the staff “ups its game” by hiring talented coaches, partaking in new sports activities and developing special programs. The goal is to provide a top-notch sports experience where campers can utilize their coaches and impressive campgrounds to engage in healthy, competitive play and further develop their athletic prowess.
To that end, this week Moshava Ba’it had the privilege of welcoming Mike Dube to camp. Mike is the co-founder and president of Elite Method where he has been working with kids and teaching them the skills needed to be successful in sports, while extending those lessons to developing a healthy mindset in life.
Speed, agility, upper/lower body strength, conditioning and endurance were on full display during Mike’s program. The children participated in an obstacle course which included the 40 yard dash along with hurdles, speed ladders, basketball drill competitions and a culminating tug of war contest! They emerged with a greater appreciation for teamwork, hard work and sportsmanship.
