On Monday night, September 16, Heichal hosted motivational speaker Jon Pritkin, who presented a captivating and eye-opening anti-bullying seminar. Diagnosed at an early age with a severe learning disability that made it difficult for him to clearly communicate, Pritkin endured years of bullying from his classmates on a daily basis. Even some of Pritkin’s own teachers said surprisingly insensitive things, furthering his struggle with low self-esteem. Pritkin now lectures confidently in front of large crowds to address the widespread issues of bullying, poor self-image and overcoming personal obstacles. He challenges students to strive to be leaders, believe in themselves and also respect and appreciate the value of every person around them.

The students were enthralled, emotional and inspired by his words.
