Move Forward With the Taylor Force Act

$3,120.

That number is the murderous monthly pension the family of Omar al-Abed will receive should he be convicted and sentenced to 30 years or more for the killings of three Salomon family members two weeks ago in the West Bank town of Halamish.

Three hundred million dollars annually. That is what the Palestinian Authority pays in so-called martyr payments to families whose relatives have committed murder or attempted murder on Israelis.

The PA leader Mahmoud Abbas refused the request of Trump administration officials to stop the absurd payments. An aid to Abbas called the American request “insane.”

Insane? This request is insane?

May we suggest that the entire approach of the Palestinians in their quest for a state better defines the word “insane.”

That is why it is so important to support the Taylor Force Act, pending Congressional legislation that would cut U.S. aid appropriations to the Palestinians if the martyr payments continue.

The Taylor Force Act was named after a former U.S. Army officer who was killed last year by Palestinian terrorists. The PA, believe it or not, pays on a sliding scale, with the most horrific acts of terror getting the higher payments. These payments are much higher than the average salary of any Palestinian.

Since the spike in unrest at the Temple Mount, Palestinian social media has, according to experts, seen a jump in the volume of comments encouraging acts similar to the stabbings of the Salomon family members.

We encourage quick U.S. legislative action moving the Taylor Force Act forward. The U.S. State Department should not pay the murderous, irresponsible PA regime one penny. As long as it promotes a culture and society of death, the U.S. should not participate in financially aiding Abbas, so that he can turn around and reward the families of killers.

$3,120?

No way.

No more.
