In government and politics, it is important to have a healthy combination of steady hands and new progressive and diverse voices. That is why I will be voting to re-elect Teaneck Deputy Mayor Elie Y. Katz and Councilman Keith Kaplan and supporting planning board member Desiree Ramos Reiner and Girl Scout troop leader Latisha Garcia. Desiree and Latisha would be the first Latinas ever elected to the council and Katz and Kaplan have provided the steady hands necessary to help guide our township through this difficult pandemic by administering more than 170,000 COVID-19 vaccines at the Rodda community center through a partnership with Holy Name Hospital. I am excited to vote for Katz, Kaplan, Ramos Reiner and Garcia on Nov. 8 to help keep moving Teaneck forward together through these challenging times and encourage my family, friends and neighbors to support these candidates as well.
