The MTA choir competed in the fifth annual V’ata Banim Shiru A Capella Competition, a program run by the Koby Mandell Foundation. Amongst the fierce competition, MTA looked to clinch a fourth straight championship in the annual competition.
Despite a spirited performance, the MTA choir didn’t quite make it to the top, but still managed to place second in the rankings. Performing MTA Music Instructor David Ross’s arrangement of “Sala’am” and “Nishba” by Chaim Moshe, the choir put on an incredible show and blew everyone away.
With much praise from the judges and the audience, the boys were glad to have placed near the top. To add to the excitement, it was a great pleasure to have Eli Rozenberg, an MTA alumnus and past member of the MTA choir, host the event. Although the MTA boys weren’t able to get the four-peat, it was still a lot of fun and they look forward to regaining their championship title next year.
