MTA talmidim in Rabbi Danto’s freshman shiur completed their first retzifus chazara of the year on Wednesday, November 3, when they reviewed the beginning of Maseches Megillah for an hour and 15 minutes straight with no interruptions! The talmidim are participating in the Vhaarev Na program, which has revolutionized the way that yeshiva high school talmidim are learning. The program focuses on intense chazara b’retzifus—constant review of the material for an extended period of time with no interruptions. Talmidim continue to build on the amount of uninterrupted learning time with each retzifus chazara they complete throughout the year and truly master what they are learning. Maggid Shiur Rabbi Pearl gave the talmidim a farher on everything they learned so far and he was tremendously impressed with how well they know the Gemara! The talmidim celebrated their accomplishment with a special seuda and were joined by sophomores, juniors and seniors who were in Rabbi Danto’s freshman shiur for lively singing and dancing in honor of the occasion!
