MTA JV Hockey Captures First Win

The MTA Lions recently hosted the Hillel Heat for the second meeting between the two teams. Hillel took the first game 3-1, while MTA was still looking for its first win of the season.

With MTA’s starting goalie Tani Rosenthal out with a concussion, Jacob Boim started in net. MTA came out strong firing many shots on net, but could not score. Hillel scored late in the first period on a wrap around and led 1-0 after the first.

Halfway through the second period, Zack Borgen scored his second goal of the season on a rebound. Thirty seconds later on the power play, Captain Eli Richland scored a one timer off a beautiful pass from Zack Borgen. MTA was up after two, 2-1.

In the third, Zack Borgen scored two goals to complete the hat-trick. MTA won 4-2 for its first win of the season.
