The MTA Lions JV softball team started their season against JEC with a rough 6-1 loss. After this defeat, the Lions headed to Frisch, where they found themselves in an early hole, down 4-1. But the Lions battled back strongly and scored three runs in the sixth inning to tie the game. Then, in the seventh inning, the Lions exploded offensively, scoring five runs to take a 9-4 lead and went on to win the game by that score. The Lions then took on SAR where they lost a hard fought game, when an SAR grand slam in the sixth inning propelled them to a 7-2 win. The Lions look to make it back to the championship game where they hope to defend their 2016 title.
