Recently, ten students from Yeshiva University High School for Boys (MTA) visited the office of New York Senator Chuck Schumer to lobby in support of issues relating to Israel. Of particular interest were Israel’s status as a strategic ally to the United States and continued sanctions against Iran. The students, members of MTA’s Hatzioni Club, were participating in a Yeshiva University program coordinated by YU’s Israel Advocacy Club. Prior to their meeting with Senator Schumer’s office, they visited the Israeli Embassy, where they were briefed regarding Israel’s efforts in Congress.
