This past week, MTA held unique chesed events in Bergen County and on Long Island. These events were an opportunity for incoming and current MTA Moms to meet each other and spend a meaningful evening together. Everyone made mezuzos that will be sent to chayalim in Eretz Yisrael, and each one was a work of art.

Sara Engel opened her home to about 30 women who came from all over New Jersey and Monsey to participate in this event, and Kara Gomberg filled her dining room with moms from Queens, West Hempstead, Great Neck, Connecticut and other communities on Long Island.

The feedback was tremendously positive, as the evenings were laid-back but also centered around chesed. MTA thanks Sari Sheinfeld for spearheading this event and to Mrs. Sari Kahn, YUHS Director of Institutional Advancement, for bringing the idea to fruition.
