To commemorate Yom Hazikaron, MTA joined over 95 schools from 12 countries to watch and discuss Jerusalem U’s compelling new film, “When the Smoke Clears: A Story of Brotherhood, Resilience and Hope.” The film follows three young Israelis who were injured in combat and strive to rebuild themselves while coping with traumatic experiences from the stress of battle. Following the film, each shiur participated in a group discussion facilitated by their rebbe. This meaningful program enabled MTA talmidim to strengthen their connection to Israel and Am Yisrael and helped develop a true understanding of the high price of war on Israelis. Talmidim also signed up to learn Tanach, Mishnayot and Gemara in memory of a fallen soldier on Yom Hazikaron.
